U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is calling on the international community to “stop bribing” the airlines in order to save the lives of children in Syria.

Ban, speaking at the U.


General Assembly in New York on Wednesday, said it was time to end bribing and reward the airlines for their help with humanitarian crises.

Ban said his visit to the U., which took him to a hotel in the United Kingdom, was meant to draw attention to the plight of children being subjected to abuse, especially during the Syrian conflict.
